the weeks just flies by doesn’t it? life has been a bit hazy since i got back from my holiday in UK.

work wise, my responsibility seems to just escalate as everything is thrown in my direction cos my boss thinks that i have nothing much to do. although i have tried telling him on billions of occasions that what he sees on his table is the end product NOT the process. well, bosses will always be bosses…

social wise, i have been quite occupied with meeting up both new and old friends. it kinda feels like i’m reliving my early 20’s but not really in the same way when i did it back then...which was not very long ago :oP

watched another dvd today... 'i-robot'. someone told me it wasn't that good. but i think the show is quite nice to watch :oP

here are updates since my last entry :

2 oct 2004 – saturday
went for a bbq in sunway…there were actually group games! haha… felt like i was back in school cos we played the 3 legged race and some number game (i dunno wat its called). losers have to be punished! my group lost one of the rounds, so each one of us had to drink a cup of beer… i hate drinking beer, but surprisingly, it was pretty nice :oP not sure what kinda beer it was tho.

in a tipsy state, i could still watch ‘princess diaries 2’ at midvalley :oP

3 oct 2004 – sunday
finally had time to meet my ex-colleague group of friends for lunch at du viet (vietnamese) in bangsar village after being MIA for about 2 months!! the food is not too bad but i prefer the du viet at damansara jaya.

met up another friend for pancakes at centrepoint in the evening before heading to town to pick my brother up from the bus station. after dropping my brother home, boy, yuets and myself had late dinner and hung out watching dvd – ‘eternal sunshine’, starring jim carrey and kate winslet. the story revolves around the both of them, who after being hurt by their love/hate relationship got their memory of each other erased but in the end, they still found each other.

i wonder if that kind of technology actually exists in reality? such a powerful weapon will be used by many to forget painful memories. would i be one of them? with such temptation, plus when i’m in my most vulnerable state, i would probably be the first to run to it. but then, u have to make sure u get a remote control ready at the PAUSE button cos memories aren’t only about hurt and pain, it also comes with the happy and sweet moments, no matter what the ratio is. erasing it does not necessarily mean that it won’t happen again cos we simply couldn’t remember. well then, isn’t it better we keep the memories so that we may be wiser the next time?

went for an italian dinner near my house. it used to be pretty good BUT they changed management so the food is not good anymore!! :o(

5 Oct 2004 - tuesday
dvd marathon!! watched ‘alex & emma’ and ‘underworld’. the storyline was a wee bit slow for ‘alex & emma’ but nevertheless it was still pretty interesting. ‘underworld’…well, the name says it all, plus the star is kate beckinsale…wat’s more to say? :oP
